Blue Man Group is best known for their wildly popular theatrical shows and concerts which combine music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment. Blue Man Group has applied its unique creative process to a wide variety of projects, including the recording of three albums; the Grammy nominated Audio and The Complex, which became the musical basis for The Complex Rock Tour and more recently, the How To Be a Megastar Tour 2.0 which is currently touring 105 U.S. cities, and Live At The Venetian ® - Las Vegas. Blue Man Group has also ventured into toy development (with their Keyboard Experience and Percussion Tubes), film and TV scoring, commercial campaigns, television programs (Scrubs and Arrested Development), and a children's museum exhibit, Making Waves, which is currently touring the country.
For years, corporate groups have been drawn to Blue Man's unique form of entertainment, which blends modern day Vaudevillian elements, comedy and music with science, art and technology. - The Creative Process (Presentation and Workshop)
Blue Man Group's founders developed this program by looking back on nearly 20 years of Blue Man Group work and examining which moments in their process worked best, and why. They then fashioned this insight into a practical model that can be used to enhance collaborative creativity. This model breaks down the creative process into phases and defines what kinds of behaviors and approaches are most effective in each phase. According to co-founder, Chris Wink, "People have always asked us 'how do you guys come up with this stuff?' Well, now we're going to give the answer. There really is a method to the madness."
- Creative Brand Building Presentation
Most ideas do not start out as revolutionary, and Blue Man Group was no exception: Blue Man Group evolved. The basis of any brand is authenticity-- According to co-founder Matt Goldman, "Knowing who we are and who we aspire to be, has remained a core objective of our company over the course of our lifespan." This workshop offers a look at the vital ways Blue Man has consistently reinvented themselves while remaining consistent and committed to the quality of their brand.
- Blue Man Character Workshop
What can a corporation learn from an outrageous bald and blue character? More than you might think. According to co-founder, Phil Stanton, "In the process of teaching actors how to play the character, we realized that some of our exercises could help people in the workplace, as crazy as that might sound." They began testing this theory on their own employees and it held up: exploring Blue Man attributes such as curiosity, playfulness, authenticity and passion, translated quickly into improvements in teamwork, morale and creative output. According to Wink, "We believe that the qualities that help artists succeed are the same as those that help people in business. It all boils down to finding that inner spark, and then making it glow."
