The Water Coolers

About The Water Coolers…
The Water Coolers is a New York based musical comedy group that delivers songs & sketch comedy to corporate, association, and convention audiences, as well as, appearing in theaters across the country. For your next sales meeting, office party, or annual retreat, gather round The Water Coolers™.

A charming and talented cast with a flair for comedy.

— the New York Times

The Water Coolers employs original songs, musical parodies and comic sketches to lovingly lampoon the fast-changing, fast-talking, hard-driving office environment of contemporary America. Both a salute and a send-up, The Water Coolers satirizes the myths, mores and madness of corporate living.

The Water Coolers is self-contained and portable entertainment. A company of seven including five performers, one pianist, and one production manager carry all scenic elements and costumes. Talk to us about optional packages to customize the show for your audience.

More About The Water Coolers…
Corporate trainer and former conference planner Sally Allen and comedy writer Thomas Michael Allen decided to blend their individual expertise into a common venture. Using Broadway talent to create first-class musical comedy entertainment tailored to the needs of the professional meeting planner, the Allens created The Water Coolers, a "laugh-out-loud" parody of the workplace.

People like to talk about themselves. They also love to hear stories about experiences familiar to them. The famous theme song from Cheers said it best, "Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name." The Water Coolers take that concept, add hilarious comedy, original music and parodies of familiar songs, and use NYC comics and singers to celebrate the crazy, funny, maddening and yet somehow universally comforting insanity of every day life. The Water Coolers created the act originally for the meetings industry but, since their Off Broadway run in 2002, The Water Coolers has found an enthusiastic and devoted audience in the mainstream entertainment world.

What People Are Saying

"For meeting managers, it is all about education, communication, connecting with people and connecting people to each other. You accomplished this with ease and professionalism...Your ability to make us laugh with each other and at our collective condition created an instant sense of community that lasted throughout the conference."

—Carol Krugman, CMP, CMM, George P. Johnson

"The Water Coolers have got the American workplace nailed. The hassles, head-trips, and hook-ups of our modern corporate culture are all captured in songs that are funny, lyrical, and dead on."

— Fred Grandy, former US Congressman and CEO, Goodwill Industries

"We're still getting rave reviews from many of the 600 business leaders who attended our event…You made my team look great and me by association; we appreciate that! "

— Judy Gray , President/CEO
