As editor of the FastChange Letter and author of three best-selling books: Dancing with Tigers, Plant your Feet Firmly in Mid-Air, and Positive Spin™ Janet Lapp has received critical acclaim for her forward-looking ideas.
A former professor, researcher, clinician, and registered nurse, Janet Lapp was born and raised in Canada. She received her Ph.D. from McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Lapp has received many academic honors, and in 1998 was inducted into the Speakers Hall of Fame (the "Oscar" of Professional Speaking), an honor held by fewer than 100 professional speakers worldwide. Dr. Lapp has also been rated by Toastmasters as one of the "top three speakers worldwide."

Janet Lapp is a flight instructor and award-winning race pilot. She has flown solo across the Kalahari Desert in Africa and is believed to be the only person to ever "waterski" the Zambesi River in her airplane. As a skilled commercial, instrument-rated pilot, Janet Lapp often flies to many of her engagements, allowing her to land at airports often closer to your meeting venue that are impossible for larger jets … and cutting down the stress, tedium, and time of commercial travel. With around 20 years of flying experience, she has piloted an aircraft through some of the most beautiful and threatening areas of the world from Africa to South America.
Janet Lapp is a member of LIGA, "The Flying Doctors of Mercy," who each month travel to Mexico to work with the medical needs of the people of Sinaloa, one of the poorest regions of Mexico. She encourages donations and volunteers sign-ups.
