The vintage 1940's ad reads "There's A Ford in Your Future" ... maybe those folks were more prescient than many realized. Back in 2006 - before the catastrophic economic meltdown pushed the American auto industry to edge of collapse - Ford went through a massive restructuring phase, offering
buyout plans to many of its employees. Through BigSpeak, Willie Jolley was invited by Ford to
help with its corporate re-organization. Utilizing the message "A setback is a set-up for a comeback" Willie was able to achieve resounding
success with higher than anticipated numbers of employees participating, exceeding all projected stretch targets. As a follow-up, in 2007, Ford asked Willie
to return and speak to its employees and help with their Bold Moves internal TV campaign. As a result, this confluence of forward thinking and fearless resolve has helped the Ford Motor Company weather the storm and reap major rewards. Ford was the only one of the "Big Three" U.S. automakers that resisted the bail-out, did not declare
bankruptcy and was recently featured in Fortune Magazine as the "Comeback Kid" for beating Toyota in sales. For real-world results that resonate long after the keynote, contact your BigSpeak representative today. |

Ezekiel Emanuel

As we're sure you are already aware, healthcare, healthcare reform
and the future of healthcare are incendiary issues right now. And as is often the case with topics that evoke strong emotion, a surfeit of misinformation
abounds. BigSpeak's own Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, special health advisor to the president's management and budget director, has emerged as a key behind-the-scenes player for
what could be the biggest overhaul of the nation's health care system in the past two decades. Ezekiel Emanuel is the eldest brother of White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and Hollywood talent agent Ari Emanuel, no strangers to the media spotlight. But when Dr. Emanuel
, was tapped by the Obama administration to be special health advisor, the renowned medical ethicist, oncologist and policy strategist was placed squarely in the crosshairs of the healthcare debate. In fact, Time magazine recently tracked down Dr.
Emanuel long enough to help dispel many of the current misconceptions, such as the so-called "Death Panels". The health-care bill that recently passed the House does not contain, as some have suggested, any provisions that would deny treatment to the elderly, infirm or disabled. One provision allows doctors to be reimbursed for voluntary discussions of
so-called "living wills" with patients, but does not in any way threaten to deny treatment to dying patients against their will. For decades, Dr. Emanuel has studied the ethics of medical care, (he is Chair of Bioethics at the NIH) especially in situations where
a scarcity of resources requires hard decisions to be made. His work sometimes deals with the hardest possible decisions, like how to choose who gets a single kidney if there are three patients on a waiting list, or the reasons that doctors order batteries of tests with little medical value.
Ezekiel Emanuel's reputation ranks him among the top members of his field. He is published often in the top journals and has been given multiple awards
for work to improve end-of-life care. Get informed on today's and tomorrow's critical healthcare issues - bring the insight of top experts like
Ezekiel Emanuel, Mehmet Oz, Christiane Northrup,
Dean Ornish, Ian Morrison, Jeffrey Bauer and many others to your
organization and let BigSpeak help you separate health care from health scare. |

Ed Viesturs

Dick Rutan

Robert Ballard

Summer is the time to satiate wanderlust, explore the vast outdoors and embark on adventures, great and small. No one knows this better than BigSpeak's
team of intrepid adventurers. From the highest mountains to the deepest seas, they test the limits of human endurance and live to tell their amazing, inspiring tales.
Ed Viesturs made news as the first American - and only the sixth person in history - to successfully summit all 14 of the world's tallest
(8,000+ meter) peaks without supplemental oxygen. Showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, Ed's presentations embody his "
round-trip" philosophy - the teamwork, leadership and performance qualities necessary not only to summit the tallest peaks, but to guarantee a successful return - making him one of the most successful alpinists of all time.
Dick Rutan embodies the very spirit and character of the word "pioneer." In December 1986, he, along with co-pilot Jeana Yeager became
the first pilots to circumnavigate the world, non-stop, without re-fuelling their plane, the Voyager. Besides being the first team to travel non-stop around the globe, Rutan and Yeager also endured the longest
flight to that date, and almost doubled the then current distance flight record, challenging the limits of human endurance and mental fatigue during their journey. To many, the flight represented the triumph of human ingenuity as the two aviators overcame a wide range of aerodynamic, financial, physical, and psychological challenges. President Ronald Reagan even
presented the Voyager crew and its designer with the Presidential Citizenship Medal, awarded only 16 times previously in history. The Voyager Aircraft is now on permanent display at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.
Robert Ballard is a
deep thinker... .very deep... as in miles below the ocean's surface. A renowned oceanographer and undersea archaeologist, Dr. Ballard is
most famous for the discoveries of the wrecks of the RMS Titanic in 1985, the battleship Bismarck in 1989, and the wreck of the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown in 1998 and he discovered the wreck of John F. Kennedy's PT-109 in 2002. He is also responsible for the highly acclaimed JASON Project, which allows thousands of schoolchildren to
accompany him from afar on undersea explorations around the globe. More than 1.7 million students have participated in JASON programs, learning about natural phenomena -- from volcanoes to storm systems -- and viewing live transmissions from JASON robots as they explore the undersea world.
From the edge of civilization to the edge of your seat - whether in your own backyard or back-country base camp, BigSpeak's adventure speakers are guaranteed to inspire your team to achieve goals, broaden horizons and overcome challenges. |
