Vancouver 2010

Nikki's Book Cover

Nikki StoneIn just eight weeks, the world will converge on Canada. The 2010 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXI Olympic Winter Games, will be held February 12-28 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and will be the third Olympics hosted by the country. True to Olympic form, plenty of drama, inspiration and incredible stories will emerge over those two weeks. BigSpeak can help bring that same level of intensity, excitement and inspiration to your organization.

Vince ProcenteEver wanted to know what its like to careen down a mountain at 135 mph? Speed-master and Canadian Olympic Downhill skier Vince Poscente takes you there...on a chair! His amazing and unorthodox Olympic odyssey is only one facet of his expertise on not only withstanding the speed of life, but embracing and harnessing it to your advantage.

Jim Shea enjoys barreling downhill at suicidal velocity as well...head first. As the first ever US gold medal Men's Skeleton champion (the sledding cousin to the feet-first luge), Jim had to battle a long road of dyslexia and learning disability to achieve world-champion level mastery of his sport.

Nikki StoneAnd speaking of sticking your neck out, Olympic gold medalist in Aerial Skiing, Nikki Stone also knows what it's like to overcome the odds and shares her comeback story/success philosophy with audiences all over the world. Ten different doctors told Nikki that, due to irreversible spinal disc damage, she might never strap on a pair of skis again. Two years later, Nikki skied down a slope at 40 miles per hour, off a 12-foot wall of snow and launched five stories into the air to capture the gold. Early next year, she'll release her latest book When Turtles Fly: Secrets of Successful People Who Know How to Stick Their Necks Out. The book contains hands-on tools, and anecdotes that she's learned through her Olympic experience, interwoven around the inspirational stories of some amazing contributors: Tommy Hilfiger, Shaun White, Prince Albert of Monaco, Dr. Stephen Covey, Lindsey Vonn and many more.

The book speaks to the connection between Olympic success and success in the business world and beyond. Due to the book's early buzz and great potential, Nikki was recently asked to write a Gold-Medal-Caliber Success Blog for the Huffington Post. Nikki, Jim, Vince and many other Olympic icons are available to engage, empower and inspire your audience this Olympic season and beyond.
