Dr. Susan Love's Key Accomplishments Include . . . Always focused on keeping women educated about their options, Dr. Love authored Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book, termed "the Bible for women with breast cancer," by The New York Times. Her other work, Dr. Susan Love's Menopause and Hormone Book, was one of the first to sound the alarm about the widespread use of postmenopausal hormones. Dr. Love is Clinical Professor of Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She lectures nationally and internationally on breast cancer, menopause and women's health. Her primary research interests focus on normal breast anatomy and breast duct fluid as well as hormones and breast cancer. Dr. Love launched "Army of Women" with the Avon Foundation in 2008 to support and further breast cancer research. Dr. Susan Love has made numerous media appearances, including: Discovery Health, Lifetime, The Oprah Winfrey Show, NBC, ABC, CBS News, CNN, Nightline, Good Morning America, and Today. Throughout her distinguished career Dr. Susan Love has won numerous awards, including the Walker Prize from the Boston Museum of Science in 1998, the Alumni Achievement Award from SUNY Downstate Medical College in 1999, the Excellence in Cancer Awareness Award from the Congressional Families for Cancer Awareness in 2002 and the Lila Wallis Women's Health Award from the American Medical Women's Association in 2004.
