About Speaker Alec Baldwin…

Alec Baldwin is a distinguished actor, comedian, writer, and producer who has worked across many genres. He has been nominated several times for his work in film and on stage and awarded some of television’s premier accolades.

Baldwin is also known as a dedicated supporter of the arts. He serves on the boards of several theater, film, and music organizations and is an active supporter of The Actors Fund and The Public Theatre/New York Shakespeare Festival, among many others.

Baldwin received his BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and was presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts from NYU in 2010. He last appeared on stage in the 2013 Broadway production of “Orphans.” Baldwin earned a Tony nomination for his role in the 1992 Broadway production of “A Street Car Named Desire” and won an Obie Award for his role in “Prelude to a Kiss.” His other stage credits include “Equus,” “Entertaining Mr. Sloane,” “Loot,” “Serious Money,” “Macbeth,” and “The Twentieth.”

On television, Baldwin starred alongside Tina Fey on NBC’s “30 Rock,” winner of multiple Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series. Baldwin received eight SAG Awards (seven individual, one ensemble), three Golden Globes, the Television Critics Award, and two Emmy Awards for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Jack Donaghy.

Baldwin has appeared in over forty films, including “Beetlejuice,” “Working Girl,” “Miami Blues,” “The Hunt for Red October,” “Glengarry Glen Ross,” “Malice,” “The Juror,” “The Edge,” “The Cat in the Hat,” “The Aviator,” “The Departed,” “It’s Complicated,” “To Rome With Love,” “Blue Jasmine,” and “Still Alice.” He earned an Oscar nomination for his role in romantic drama “The Cooler.”

Baldwin released his second memoir, “Nevertheless,” chronicling the highs and lows of his life, in April 2017.
