Experts on Why to Be Optimistic About AI
What should we think about the increasing prevalence of AI in our private and personal lives? Sometimes marching steadily forward and at others appearing to dramatically implode, programs like ChatGPT, OpenAI, and Gemini have become household names and promise to drastically alter the way we interact with information and each other. Is this something we should fear? BigSpeak EVP and business growth speaker Ken Sterling doesn’t think so.
In a recent article for Inc, Sterling draws together insights from AI thought leaders- and frequent BigSpeak partners- like Former Head of Go-To-Market for OpenAI Zack Kass and AI Pioneer and deployment expert Sol Rashidi to offer a counterpoint to the often very vocal fearmongers promising a tech hellscape in which all humans are unemployed and controlled by an AI overlord.
Emphasizing the potential positives of AI, Sterling notes that on top of life-saving medical and wellness advancements, automation promises positive business outcomes as well. Indeed, Rashidi notes that in a study AI was found to increase the productivity of 61% of employees, allowing the handling of 13.8% more customer inquiries per hour.
Kass notes that once fully integrated with the education process, AI will offer higher quality training options for business at a much lower price-point, allowing for broader up-scaling that adapts to each employee’s learning style.
