Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for warm and cold calling prospects and list building via Google Searches and LinkedIn
  • Contacting potential customers by telephone and e-mail to secure sales appointments
  • Be a brand ambassador by communicating clearly and confidently about BigSpeak
  • Convert calls/contacts to appointments/opportunities
  • Accurately record calls made and appointments set in our ACT
  • Cultivate prospects through regular follow up and contact
  • Working in concert with Sales Agents to grow new or existing accounts
  • Engaging Speakers for referrals, international travel schedules and other activities

Skills & Qualifications:

We are seeking a self-motivated responsible overachiever to prospect and set appointments by creating relationships by phone, or by any creative approach.  Specific qualifications include:

  • Experience in service sector or inside sales and/or appointment setting
  • Highly organized in your daily calling efforts for maximum efficiency and success
  • Excellent phone etiquette and closing skills when securing appointments
  • ACT or SalesForce and marketing automation sales experience a plus
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a start-up or rapidly changing environment is a plus
  • Track record of success
  • Must have high integrity

We are looking for a tech-savvy, entrepreneurial individual with strong writing, analytical, and communication skills to support our marketing team.  Ideal for college student or recent grad interested in marketing, PR, or business, this position will give you exposure to various marketing campaigns, and allow you to expand your skills and learn about PR protocol, online advertising, SEO, website design, data analytics, creative business writing, and more!

Characteristics of a Marketing Intern at BigSpeak are:

Responsibilities and Key Areas of Focus:

  • Add pages to our website and make updates as needed (no experience necessary, but a big plus)
  • Update social media accounts, possible opportunities for creative writing on blog and newsletters
  • Maintain databases, reach out for updated information, update as necessary
  • Organize and send out gifts to VIP clients and speakers
  • Run performance reports, update dashboards, perform data analytics and report findings to management
  • Perform competitive analysis of industry and competitors
  • Opportunities for graphic design, video editing, and website design

This is a fabulous opportunity to start as a Sales Agent & Consultant. BigSpeak provides a dynamic environment with unlimited potential to succeed as you interact with our world-class talent and experts while bringing them to both existing and new accounts for keynote speaking engagements and corporate training programs.
Acting as an Agent/Consultant for business thought leaders, renowned authors and Hollywood celebrities on the lecture circuit as well as an educational consultant to corporate learning and development programs can be exciting and glamorous (think Entourage, only with less Ari, more gold and no drama) but it is also primarily a consultative sales position, and you will spend a majority of your time on the phone advising clients, cultivating relationships and closing deals. Proactive outreach in addition to occasional leads, and previous clients and prospects are provided.
Selling to corporations, including Fortune 1000 companies, trade associations and town halls, our agent/consultants are also responsible for overseeing all aspects of events, from contract to itinerary to payment. This is a base salary plus commission position and/or higher all commission compensation opportunity with very high earning potential.
