Speakanomics is an exciting podcast where we chat with business thought leaders, celebrities, CEOs, and entrepreneurs for exclusive tips, behind the scenes insights, and off-the-record stories — straight from the source. We investigate the person behind the presentation to better understand their hopes, their fears, and their unique quirks that enable them to inspire audiences on the biggest platforms in the world.
Our Format
The show is 30 minutes long, though sometimes it can go a bit longer. We record on a monthly basis and will inform you of the scheduled recording dates upon invitation.
While the conversation is loosely based on a series of questions (see below), the informal structure will allow for storytelling or unscripted topics that may arise during the conversation. Ultimately, we want to better understand you as a human—off stage—to find out your why, the journey that led you to the podium, and a few good stories or tidbits your audiences wouldn’t learn simply listening to your keynotes.
What if you’ve never done radio or a podcast before? What should you expect?
The format is intended to be fun and straightforward. Our Host will ask a series of questions in a conversational format, but intentionally leave the agenda open for stories, new topics that may arise, or perhaps a few unscripted questions that organically come about.
We recommend you download the standard questions in advance.
Where do you need to be?
We record using Skype which means you’ll want to be in a quiet room with the doors closed; any extraneous machines turned off and a good pair of headphones. It’s important that you test your audio before we record. Please have an external microphone/headphone. Talking to the display audio or built-in microphone doesn’t give us a quality audio signal. If this happens, we may need to reschedule.
Your event photograph
We will need a high resolution (at least 1800 x 1200 pixels) photo from you in landscape (wide) format. The photo will be used to promote your episode on various podcasting networks, social media, the BigSpeak website, and iTunes. Please send the photograph via email once you have confirmed your time slot.
When will the episode be available?
Your show will be posted approximately 3-4 weeks after recording. Show notes will be on your personal podcast page at bigspeak.com/podcast, then cross-posted to iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher, TuneIn and the major podcasting networks. We will send you a link to the page so that you can fact-check it before we go live. Thanks in advance for being responsive.
We also enable sharing links so you can easily embed your show on your website, in a newsletter or post to LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. We encourage you to notify your clients, partners, and social media networks when the show launches.
