Minda Dentler is an athlete, speaker, global health advocate, mother, and author. Her debut children’s book, The Girl Who Figured It Out, tells the story of her journey from an orphan in India with polio to becoming the first female wheelchair athlete to complete the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. A TED speaker and Senior Fellow at the Aspen Institute, Minda has been featured on CNN, NBC, Forbes, and Glamour, and was nominated for an ESPN ESPY Award. She has written for TIME and The Huffington Post, advocating for the eradication of polio. Minda speaks to audiences about resilience, perseverance, and redefining what’s possible. She holds an MBA from Baruch College and a BA from the University of Washington. After 20 years in New York City, she now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her husband and daughter.
