It was clear in their discussion how important a morning routine and mindfulness practice is in building resilience. Bloom says, “Get used to having that fear or emotion and not react the way our body wants to.” A former Olympic-caliber skier, Bloom understands that harnessing that emotion can lead to peak performance. This not only goes for athletes; growth often happens when one is out of their comfort zone, and the business world is no different.
The other topic discussed in the webinar was that of mindfulness. So often, people fall into unhealthy patterns; getting sucked into the rat-race that we call life. Dr. JP Pawliw-Fry, a renowned mindfulness expert, knows how important a morning routine and mindfulness practice is in building resilience. He says in the live cast, “Meditation and mindfulness are not inaccessible. Ten minutes a day can do wonders.” Many feel intimidated by meditation because they believe there is not enough time in the day, but Molly Bloom argues that even ten minutes of focusing on her breath clears her mind and allows her to find her resilience that day.
