Mike Brown is a leadership and teamwork keynote speaker, Head Coach of the Sacramento Kings, and 2023 NBA Coach of the Year. Over his career, Mike has won four NBA Championships as an assistant coach and became the second-youngest head coach in NBA history when he took over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Brown was honored as NBA Coach of the Year for leading the Cavaliers to a team-record and league-best 66 wins in 2009. About Keynote Speaker Coach Mike Brown

Mike Brown is a leadership and teamwork keynote speaker, Head Coach of the Sacramento Kings, and winner of the 2023 NBA Coach of the Year after leading the Kings from 17th to 3rd place in his first season as coach. Over his career, Mike has won four NBA Championships as an assistant coach, one for the San Antonio Spurs and three for the Golden State Warriors.

In 2005, he became the second youngest head coach in NBA history when named to coach the Cleveland Cavaliers. While coaching the Cavaliers, he guided LeBron James and the team to five consecutive playoff seasons, two consecutive seasons of 60-plus wins, one NBA final appearance in 2007, and was named NBA Coach of the Year in 2009.

In his over 20 years of coaching, Mike has been head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, L.A. Lakers, and the Sacramento Kings and worked as an assistant coach for the Washington Wizards, San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Pacers, and Golden State Warriors. In 2020, he was named head coach of the Nigerian national basketball team.

In 1992, Mike began his career as an unpaid video intern for the Denver Nuggets. He spent five seasons with the Nuggets as a scout and video coordinator before being hired as a coach by the Washington Wizards.

Mike was born in Columbus, Ohio, played college basketball at Mesa Community College and the University of San Diego, and graduated in 1992 with a BA in Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
