Danny Fortson is the west coast correspondent for The Sunday Times of London, where his work is read by more than 1 million people each week. He hosts The Danny in the Valley podcast, a weekly interview show where guests include Bill Gates, Sir Richard Branson, Marc Andreessen, Airbnb’s Brian Chesky and many others. He produced an audio documentary series, called Tales of Silicon Valley, that was nominated by The British Podcast Awards for Best Business Podcast and Smartest Podcast, and he has been recognised by The Society of Editors as one of the top tech journalists in Britain.

Danny Fortson is the West coast correspondent for The Sunday Times, where every year since 2017 he has been recognized by The Society of Editors as one of Britain’s top tech journalists.
Before returning to the San Francisco Bay Area to cover the technology industry in 2017, he spent 13 years in London, where he covered everything from tech to defense, oil and gas and mining. He has reported from more than 25 countries in Africa, Asia, South America and Europe.
His 2020 audio documentary series, Tales of Silicon Valley, was commended by the British Podcast Awards. His column Tech Talk can be found every weekend in The Sunday Times, and he has appeared as a guest commentator on the BBC and CNBC. Fortson also hosts a weekly chat show called Danny in the Valley, where he interviews technology founders, investors and executives.
