Beginning with a short video showing the inspirational work of the Breathe Magic Intensive Therapy Program contextualizes how magic is used in unexpected ways and introduces a key theme that will recur throughout the workshop: thinking differently. Workshops are led by Jez and his colleagues from the world of professional magic, who happen to be some of the world’s most respected magicians. An easy yet brilliant magic trick is taught to the whole group: the secret involves them having to think differently. In smaller teams they learn technical skills required; develop a story and details; apply business metaphors and solve challenges. For each completed challenge, teams are awarded additional points:

• challenges to improve team communication skills
• challenges to develop creativity
• challenges encouraging innovation and ingenuity

Magicians are on-hand throughout to guide teams with tabletop and physical activities. The workshop concludes with a short performance; an upbeat awards ceremony and team photos, which are available to download licence-free just a few days later.
