Newton Mayenge is an Award Winning Actor, Entrepreneur and former Professional Basketball Player. He has dual Bachelors of Arts degrees from University of North Carolina, as well as attending law school and grad school for his MBA. He created multiple successful businesses before working on the new 1980’s HBO TV Series called Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, where he plays NBA legend Jim Chones.

About Keynote Speaker Newton Mayenge

The youngest child of two Congolese Immigrants, Newton is an award winning Actor, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist.  With a passion for basketball, he played through his younger years. After graduating from the University of North Carolina with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and African-American Studies, he played professional basketball in Germany. A car crash ended his dreams of playing in the NBA, and he turned his life to Acting and Entrepreneurship. He attended law school and grad school (MBA Candidate) and created multiple successful businesses before working on the new 1980’s HBO TV Series called, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, where he plays NBA legend Jim Chones. He is also the host of a socially conscious talk show called, the League Talk Show.
