Another Success with TEDstyle Event at Argus Software

Another BigSuccess with this week’s TEDstyle corporate event. Argus Software’s CEO, Jeff Hayward, was delighted with the learnings and energy from the combination and setup of the different speakers.  After the event Hayward was quoted saying “That was amazing – great mix of speakers – we loved all 3 of the speakers. Thank you.” and that he would recommend TEDstyle events for other companies and organizations who want good takeaways and a variety of topics at their event.

Three of BigSpeak’s top keynote speakers, including Geopolitical Strategist, Peter Zeihan, The “Dean of Innovation”, Jeff Degraff, and Technology Futurist, Tan Le, were showcased at the event. Audiences love TED – the talks are short, to the point and carry high-impact.  Attention spans start to wander at 23 minutes, so there are some events where having three informative shorter talks will have a greater impact than a big name keynote.  The expert consultants at BigSpeak will carefully examine your event objectives, audience, and themes to help you best identify if a big name headliner, or TEDstyle presentation will have higher ROI at your specific event.

Peter Zeihan Argus

According to Geopolitical Strategy, Peter Zeihan, “US economy and demographics are strong” he said “Geopolitics, demography and shale energy are overturning the global order. There are plenty of traps to avoid as the old system falls apart, but there are also a great many bright spots brimming with opportunity. Learn what to look for.”

According to SVP Ken sterling,  “Peter was amazing (as always),  Maybe good time to go long on commercial real estate and short US oil.”

JJeff Degraff Artguseff DeGraff, the “Dean of Innovation”, revealed many keys to successful innovative strategy.  Degraff’s maintakeaway is that “innovation is the result of constructive conflict – it’s really a hybrid form of deviance and creativity”.  For successful innovation, use the Competing Values framework pioneered by the Dean of Innovation:

  • Create
  • Control
  • Compete
  • CollaborateTan Le Argus

Tan Le, CEO and Founder of Emotive, and Technology Futurist shares her own personal story of immigration, as well as the steps she’s taken to create her successful company, and the technological breakthroughs it has made in the realm of nueroengineering.  The main takeaway from Le’s presentation about her journey is that “Innovation comes in many forms there is no specific playbook.  I’m a work I process.” she said “No one size fits all. Fail forward, adapt to changes. Face the future and unknown with courage and dignity.”
