About Speaker Gary Woodland…
Gary Woodland is a professional golfer. Woodland attended Washburn University on a basketball scholarship, but after his freshman year he left to attend the University of Kansas on a golf scholarship. At Kansas, Woodland won four tournaments before he turned professional in 2007. In 2007 and 2008, Woodland played in multiple tournaments on the second-tier Nationwide Tour. After the 2008 season, Woodland entered the Qualifying school for the PGA Tour where he finished in a tie at 11th. His finish was good enough to earn him a full card to play on the PGA Tour in 2009. Woodland split his time between the Nationwide Tour and the PGA Tour during the 2010 season. He won his first PGA Title in March 2011 at the Transitions Championship. Woodland had recorded 4 professional wins in his career; 2 wins have come out of the PGA Tour and the other 2 have been from other tours.
