The Road to IASB

With IASB only a day away, all roads lead to Vegas for keynote speakers and speaking industry professionals alike.

As they emerge from their offices and podiums, speaking professionals will make their way across the Nevada desert to coalesce in a single location to discuss the speaking industry.

This year the 31st Annual International Association of Speakers Bureaus Convention will set up base for three days at the Ari Resort and Casino. The convention will combine keynote sessions from Paul Moya, Matthew Luhn, Carey Lohrenz, Peter Shehan, Julie Williamson, and David Meerman Scott, to name a few. The event will also provide opportunities for attendees to network and discuss innovative strategies for growth and influence.

Matthew Luhn is a 20-year story veteran of Pixar Animation Studios, whose story credits include, Toy Story (1-3), Ratatouille, Cars, Up, Monster’s Inc., and Finding Nemo. Matthew also trains Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, and other professionals how to craft and tell stories that bridge the gap between business and the heart to build stronger brands and communication. At IASB, Matthew will be sharing secrets to the art of storytelling for businesses and speakers.

Harvard Millennials and Gen Z Expert Paul Moya is the founder and CEO of Millennial Labs—a full-service consulting firm trusted by globally recognized brands to solve their most complex generational challenges in the workplace, marketplace, and voting booth. In his keynote, Paul will utilize key data to discuss trends in the speaker bureau industry, as well as explain the most effective practices for hiring and retaining top employees in an ever-changing intergenerational workforce.

Peter Sheahan and Dr. Julie Williamson will be leading a master’s class Thursday afternoon. Their class, Matter: How to Move From Agent-Negotiator to Value-Creator, will teach you how to brainstorm and co-create ideas with clients and speakers to create greater value and provide insightful tools and tactics based off of real-life case studies.

Last, but not least, BigSpeak EVP Ken Sterling will appear as a panelist on the Social Media discussion panel.
