About Brené Brown:

Dr. Brené Brown is a motivational speaker, emotional intelligence expert, research professor, and author of six New York Times bestselling books. She has spent the last two decades studying shame, empathy, courage, and vulnerability, and works as a research professor at the University of Houston, where she holds the Huffington-Brené Brown Endowed Chair. Brené’s TED talk – The Power of Vulnerability – is one of the top five most viewed TED talks in the world, with over 50 million views combined between TED and YouTube. She is also the first researcher to have a filmed talk on Netflix, The Call to Courage special, which debuted on the streaming service on April 19, 2019.

Because vulnerability is at the center of many thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, Brené’s research topics cover a broad range of emotions and experiences, including shame, courage, and authenticity. Her ideas can be applied equally to personal life, work, and leadership.

Brené poses the questions:

How do we learn to embrace our vulnerabilities and imperfections so that we can engage in our lives from a place of authenticity and worthiness?

How do we cultivate the courage, compassion, and connection that we need to recognize that we are enough – that we are worthy of love, belonging, and joy?
