Based on a wealth of experience with Olympic and Paralympic athletes and high performers across sectors, Dane Jensen teaches practical resilience techniques that allow people to thrive in disrupting times. Rooted in Jensen’s Inside Edge model, participants are taught five core skills that they can use to respond and recover in the face of set-backs or unsteadiness, and to access all of their capabilities when in high pressure situations. The skills are reinforced with both interactive practice and with memorable stories that give an insider’s look ‘behind the curtain’ at the Olympic Games but are always brought home with stories of application rooted in the day-to-day realities of all of us. Audiences become more mindful and aware of the choices they have under pressure. They carry more energy through the week by reducing wasted energy and improving their ability to recover. And they choose the perspective and mental ‘game film’ that support their ability to be at their best.

The time has come for leaders to help their people re-skill: to help them progress towards mastery, tap into a growth mindset, and get them excited about unlocking new potential and accomplishments. How? By developing a ‘coaching culture.’ This presentation introduces the 3 core ‘plays’ a coach is constantly executing to drive performance, and the 4 skills teams need to master in order to succeed. Featuring a wealth of experience from 30+ years of working with the world’s top coaches, the presentation explores how coaching is powerfully different from other management styles – rooted in a mindset called ‘developmental bias.’ Audience members walk away understanding how to embrace the ‘developmental bias,’ how to apply the 3 core plays great coaches use for world-class execution, and how to deploy the 4 key skills used by the great coaches of our time.
