As a sought-after leader in talent and culture development, she’s passionate about driving organizational culture change and building epic teams. A dynamic, positive energizer, Kat excels at developing leaders to their fullest potential and creating transformational and experiential programs that stick. She is currently the Director of Global Talent Success at Box, leading all talent development, learning, coaching and leadership development as well as community and belonging programs globally. Additionally, she is an Advisor to Lingo Live and the UC Berkeley CorpEd Board, the former Head of HR for the Burning Man Project and the former Head of Learning & Development at Stitch Fix.

Kat is passionate about speaking on innovative cultures and transformational leadership. Past speaking engagements include SXSW, People Innovators Summit, Culture LabX, CLO Exchange, NCHRA, and Burning Man Global Leadership Summit  

As a creative artist, Kat Steinmetz may be best known as the singer behind “Kepi and Kat”, the electronic music duo voted Best Electronic Music Act in the Bay Area (SF Guardian). Formerly a committee member of the SF chapter of the Recording Academy (Grammys), she’s performed at festivals, events and clubs across the nation and around the world. She’s also a prolific and award-winning makeup artist working with clients such as Sprint, Google, University of Phoenix, S&G Clothing, and Lucent Dossier, and musicians such as tUnE-yArDs, Lucius, Po-Girl and Girlyman. Her work has been published in GQ, British Vogue, 7×7, Glassbook, and Magnet magazines.
