With passion and humility, Mark speaks from the heart about breathtaking events and realizing his dreams. Mark is a down to earth, natural speaker who is infectiously energetic and engaging.

By using his own experiences and challenges as an example, Mark’s presentation covers how he accomplished his own dreams and proved that the ‘impossible IS possible’. The presentation includes jaw dropping imagery and video content, inspiring his audiences to understand that any goal can be achieved, with the right strategy.

While still actively pursuing his own dreams, Mark hopes to inspire others by sharing his story. Mark can be engaged as a keynote speaker for individuals, teams and organizations, giving them the drive to innovate, achieve and challenge their limits. Presentations can also be tailored to draw-out company ethos and key messages to assist in focusing on brand or club specific goals.

About Keynote Speaker Mark Visser

About Speaker Mark Visser…

Mark Visser is an Australian big wave surfer and ocean adventurer. He is the 2014/15 Big Wave Paddle-in Champion and 3x runner up for the ASL Big Wave Awards. His dedication to the sport is unprecedented with intense training regimes and freakish skills, he is known as one of the fittest waterman in the world.

Mark spends his time tracking down some of the biggest waves on the planet utilising innovative technology and pioneers unique ways to surf them. Mark’s feats are not only about surfing, but adventure, exploration and staying alive in situations that some consider impossible.

On the 20th of January, 2011, Mark made history by achieving a night ride on 30-40ft waves at the infamous Jaws break in Maui. This was a true world first, known globally as ‘Night Rider’. This night ride was the start of an upcoming adventure documentary called ‘Nine Lives’.

If riding huge waves at night wasn’t enough, Marks second project, ‘Operation Deep Blue’, follows Visser and his team as they parachute out of a specialized aircraft with their jet skis and surfboards into storm swells miles out to sea in search of ‘freak’ waves. No athlete has ever gone to these lengths to find them, let alone surf them.

The nature of the remaining projects for the ‘Nine Lives’ documentary involve never before seen technology and breath taking feats of human strength and endurance.

Testimonials

Loved the Talk from Mark Visser. Very inspirational to see how he overcomes so many challengers, with the key being how he worked with his team – very relevant and gives a different perspective on teamwork

Mark Visser’s presentation was very interesting and inspiring. Removing the ‘fear’ / obstacles of personal challenge. It was truly inspiring and his story linked up so well to what we aspire to.

An unexpected speaker. We need more from people who have excelled at what we are focusing on. The more we live and breathe this and see the passion, the better we will all become.

The greatest lesson we learnt as a group is that so many tasks in life can seem far greater and more difficult than what they truly are. If you take a second to break it down and think through what is actually required, you can narrow your focus to living in the moment and ticking it off, bit by bit. So many guys thought that the panic would override their ability to execute the task but refining everything made it so much easier to achieve. Little wins along the way increase the motivation. To break it down the way Mark did and with a task specific to learn was a great lesson!

Mark Visser has been a regular celebrity guest at our annual BOQ Maroochydore Celebrity Charity Golf Day and Corporate Sports Lunch. Over the years this event has attracted high profile celebrities such as Wally Lewis, Mal Meninga, Liz Ellis, Rod Macqueen, Leigh Matthews, James Tomkins, Natalie Cook and Ray Martin. Mark rates right up with those people for audience appeal and inspiration.  In fact, our event MC Robert “Dipper” DiPierdomenico openly confesses to a “man-crush” on Mark. The audience was spell-bound watching some of his video clips and tales of his exploits. Mark is very easy to work with, is a great sport, a driven motivator and engages warmly with guests at all levels. We would recommend Mark highly to any event organiser or sponsor as part of their program.
