Learn the same behavioral tools I used recruiting sources in the FBI: set a baseline, spot Tempo Tells (wobbles in words, behavior, actions, or intent), and separate what you observed from what you inferred. The room leaves able to assess trustworthiness and hidden agendas in real time — without turning people into a puzzle to manipulate.

How to inspire honesty and get a better outcome when the conversation is hard. I teach the four keys of communication: seek their thoughts and opinions, talk about their priorities and friction points, validate with non-judgmental curiosity, and empower with choice. This is not tactical persuasion. It is how you make someone feel safe enough to tell you the truth before they have a reason to hide it.

About Keynote Speaker Robin Dreeke

Robin Dreeke spent twenty years in FBI counterintelligence recruiting and handling human sources. He led the Bureau’s Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program, where the work was simple to say and hard to do: get someone with every reason to lie to tell you the truth, and build a relationship that held after he left the room.

He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a Marine Corps veteran. Those two rooms — the Academy and the Corps — are where he learned that rank does not create followership. Treatment does.

Today he translates that work for leaders who cannot afford a coin-flip read on the people in front of them. He teaches how to set a baseline, spot Tempo Tells — wobbles in words, behavior, actions, or intent — and use four keys of communication: seek their thoughts and opinions, talk about their priorities and friction points, validate with non-judgmental curiosity, and empower with a choice. The point is not persuasion. The point is to make it safe for someone to be honest before they have a reason to hide.

He is the instructor of the MasterClass Become the Person Everyone Trusts and the bestselling author of It’s Not All About Me, The Code of Trust, Sizing People Up, and Unbreakable Alliances. He co-hosts the daily true-crime program Hidden Killers, where he applies the same behavioral tools to cases in public view.

Robin works with corporate leadership teams, associations, and offsites on trust, high-stakes communication, and reading people under pressure. He lives in Virginia.
